Disclaimer: Changing the milage on your speedometer is illegal. I do now know if putting a new speedometer in your car is legal either. This is just put here to tell you how to change your new speedomter to your acutal reading if you were to purchase a new one. The TCCA is NOT responsible for any legal issues you may run in to.

First you need to remove your speedometer from your car (or gauge cluster), please refer to 1990 - 1995 Gauge Cluster Removal to see how to remove your cluster and speedometer.

To start off you need to pull the needle off of your speedomter. This simply pulls off. You may need to wiggile it a little, but trust me, it comes off.

Next you will need to take off your gauge face. Remove the three screws indicated in the picture, and it will come off easily.

Now will need to remove the white rollers that hold the nubmers in place. To do this, you need to tap the pointed end untill it starts to become loose, and then pull the flat end w/ a pair of pliers. Do not remove it completely, this will make it very difficult for reassebmly. Also be careful not to bend the metal piece, this will make it very difficult to get it working correctly (trust me, I know from experience).

Here is a picture of the pointed end that you will need to tap with a hammer or other object to make it loose

Here is the flat end that you will need to pull once the pointed end is pushed loose. I coudln't get it in foucs, but you get the idea.

You will need to tilt the higlighted piece outward (DO NOT REMOVE IT!) to move the rollers. When they are in the correct position, put the whole assembly back the way it was, and reverse the above steps.
